Modesto is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Modesto follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The pizza I ordered, The Mushroom Kingdom, was really delicious. The ingredients tied everything together and the crust was light and fluffy when I bit into it. Overall, really great pizza even though I was expecting it to be a little bit bigger in size. Hoping to see some white sauce option on the menu in the future! The owner was super nice and chatted with me when I came in to pick up my order. He even offered me a free drink with my pizza! Initially I intended on taking my order to go, but since the rain started pouring outside, I sat inside to eat after he offered me a place to sit down. Super friendly service, would definitely come here again sometime!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I placed an order for a pizza, but when I arrived to pick it up, they hadn't even started making it. In fact, it seemed like they completely ignored the order. What makes this even worse is that I drove 45 minutes specifically to get this food. When I pointed out the mistake, there was absolutely no accountability. I didn’t receive a single apology for the wasted time or the gas spent driving out here. It’s one thing to mess up an order, but it’s another thing to be completely dismissive of a customer's time. I won't be coming back. Save yourself the drive and go somewhere that actually values their customers.

Came out of work and was eager to have a slice of pizza. Waited in line at a pop up for at least a half hour. All I ordered was two slices. They served everyone ahead of me and behind me. By then it was at least an hour passed. I asked politely what happened to my order, they told me they were still working on it then took a break to catch up on other orders. Another customer who noticed me waiting asked what happened. I told him I dont know. I ended up leaving hungry.

Great pizza, horrible pickup experience. We have been wanting to try Sanctuary Pizza for a while now. I've seen them on Insta and their food looks amazing. I was excited when I saw they were opening a restaurant location so close to my place. I have tried on 2 separate occasions to go there, when Google said they were open, only to find them closed. Finally we found that we could order for pickup with the slice app. Ordering was simple. When the app said the pizza was done I sent my son to pickup. He had the most bizarre experience when he got there. There were only 2 employees there in the kitchen, clearly visible to my son. He tried to get their attention to let them know he was there for pickup but they went out of there way to ignore him. Like literally averting thier eyes, doing all they could to pretend he wasn't there. My son saw them start to make our pizza even though it was supposed to already be done. Then one of them finally addresses him and asks who the order is for. The guy looks at the screen for a while like he can't find it, even though my son said they were only making our 1 pizza, so it's not a long list of orders. Then goes oh, here you are. They made him stand

I’ve been to Sanctuary Pizza a couple of times before and it’s usually a solid spot for a good pizza so I came in with high expectations again. This time I went for their Hawaiian. Sanctuary’s take had a nicely balanced sweetness from the pineapple, solid cured ham, and a well made crust with a good chew and crisp edge. The dough here is consistently one of their strengths.... you can tell they care about fermentation and handling. That said, this visit had some hiccups. I had to wait over an hour from the time I arrived... and that was after ordering about an hour earlier. Turns out they ran out of pizza boxes and had to go grab more. To their credit, they comped me some wings and fries while I waited, which was a nice gesture and showed good hospitality. The wings were solid, crispy with decent seasoning, and the fries were fresh. There’s no indoor seating (at least when I’ve been), so it’s strictly a pickup or outdoor vibe for now, which works, but makes long waits a little tougher. Overall, I’ll be back.... because when they’re firing on all cylinders, the pizza is worth it. But hoping the logistics get a little smoother next time.
